Cookie Policy
Effective Date: September 14, 2025
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Neuralist uses cookies and similar technologies on neuralist.io and related subdomains such as app.neuralist.io and blog.neuralist.io (collectively, the “Services”).
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser. They help websites and apps function, keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage so we can improve the product. Similar technologies (like local storage) may be used for the same purposes.
3. How we use cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary: Required for security, authentication, session management, and core functionality of the site and app. These do not require consent and are always active.
- Analytics (optional): Help us understand aggregate traffic and feature usage to improve Neuralist. These only run if you consent.
We do not use advertising, cross-site behavioral targeting, or social media tracking cookies.
4. Your choices and consent
In regions where consent is required, you will see a banner that lets you accept or reject non-necessary cookies. You can change your choice at any time:
Your preference is stored so you are not prompted repeatedly on subsequent visits from the same browser. Where technically feasible, we set the consent cookie for the .neuralist.io domain to respect your choice across our subdomains.
5. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These enable essential functions such as sign-in, account security, load balancing, and fraud prevention. They may be set by Neuralist and by our authentication provider. Without these, the app and some site features will not work.
Analytics (optional; only with consent)
If enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage. GA4 may set cookies including:
_ga— visitor identifier (approx. 2-year expiry)_ga_<property-id>— property-scoped identifier (approx. 2-year expiry)_gid— daily identifier (approx. 24-hour expiry)
Analytics runs only after you opt in via the banner or the “Manage cookie preferences” link above. We do not enable Google Ads features or advertising personalization.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent essential features (like sign-in) from working. For convenience, use the “Manage cookie preferences” control above to enable or disable analytics without changing browser settings.
7. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date and may trigger a new consent prompt where required.
